The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘yuj’ which means join, yoke or union.  Yoga is a scientific methodology and by practising it we are able to unite our body with mind and mind with our deeper inner self.  Practicing Yoga leads us to a healthier and less stressful life.

Sayoko’s teaching is precise and clear, leading students to feel their inner layer of and become sensitive with their bodies.  Her teaching is now in the spirit of Vanda Scaravelli and the style is more fluid & the atmosphere relaxed. At the end of the class, students feel calm and relaxed through practicing Yoga with focused attention.

Over 30 years Yoga practice and 20 years Yoga teaching experience.

Sayoko continues to develop her yoga and teaching at regular workshops with Diane Long and Sophie Hoare, teachers who directly learned Yoga from Vanda Scaravelli, the author of ‘Awakening the Spine’. She has also attended teacher training courses by Ruth White, workshops by BKS Iyengar, Joel Kramer, an American Yogi, and many other inspiring teachers.

Sayoko practiced Yoga through her pregnancy.
